What’s hanging out on your keychain right now? Do you think it reflects your personality and passions? Use your favourite things as inspiration and make tokens to dangle with your keys as beautiful reminders! Decorate your keychains exactly how you’d like to with our over 100 colour choices of glaze! Bring your best ideas and your lovely instructor will help you every step of the way. If you have any small cookie cutters that you would like to use, please feel free! We recommend that if you plan to try to recreate an image, to print out a paper template to get accurate and quick results to make the most of your workshop time. All materials are always included in workshop fees. In this class you will learn how to: ~ Roll out clay slabs ~ Cut desired shapes from a clay slab ~ Finish surfaces to minimize harsh edges ~ Optimize the functionality of your piece Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay! This is a great introduction to pottery without making a multi-week commitment. After this workshop your piece will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a one-hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you have made. Alternatively, you may choose a single color that we will glaze for you. After glazing the piece will be glaze fired, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. We will always contact you to pick up.
