Create your very own custom hanging bird feeder with us! Spring has sprung and all of birdies in the trees deserve some sweet digs to chow down in return for their beautiful songs. Decorate your new hanging bird feeder as a beautiful complement to your garden or patio with our over 100 colour choices! All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees. Bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way. In this workshop you will learn how to: ~ Roll out a clay slab ~ Attach shallow walls using scratch and slip ~ Decorating with stamps, carving, surface texture and glazes Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay! This is a great introduction to pottery without making a multi-week commitment. After this workshop your piece will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a one-hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you have made. Alternatively, you may choose a single color that we will glaze for you. After glazing the piece will be glaze fired, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. We will always contact you to pick up.
